Discovery trip to Nicaragua
In celebration of 20 years twinning between the City of Bristol and Puerto Morazan in Nicaragua, and also in recognition of Bristol’s status as a Fairtrade City, there is a discovery tour being organised to Nicaragua this December. Time will be spent visiting rural and urban communities in Puerto Morazan, and there will also be visits to fair-trade registered farmers of sesame seed and coffee. Other highlights include visiting an eco-tourism site, meeting some coffee farmers who are not involved in fair-trade, home-stays, and carrying out some practical work to serve the local community.
