Testimonials from Healing on the Streets, Bath

We're now able to give you regular updates as to how God is using the Healing on the Streets Team (HOTS) in Bath to make an impact on the folk they pray for. Here's the latest reports:

August 09

During the second training session on 13th August I had trouble sitting still because of discomfort in my body which had kept me awake the night before, and because, sitting properly back in the chair, I couldn't quite place my feet flat on the floor, which put a strain on my back. After responding to a word ofknowledge about problems in the back/hip area, it was found that my left leg was slightly shorter than my right leg. After prayer my left leg grew to the same length and I noticed I could now sit properly in the chair with my feet flat on the floor. Standing was also more comfortable and I felt better in myself.
I had been struggling with depression for most of this past year. After prayer in June and July for various situations and specifically on one occasion for my brain, I have felt a lot better in myself and my mood has overall improved.

Report from the streets

Mrs A had sufferd with various infections for 8 weeks and said she could breathe freely from right nostril after prayer, which she couldn't before.
Mrs B (had a few conditions) said she felt nothing during prayer, but a while later returned to tell us graphically that she was feeling heat from her neck down all through her body and what was going on? So we explained!
Mrs C broke her foot 3 years ago and recently twisted it again. During prayer she felt warmth after which it became much more easy to walk.

Miss D had a bad back, we prayed and God grew her leg by 1/2 inch.

Report dated 22nd July

First Hand Testimonies

"When you prayed for me 2 months my health improved. The day you prayed for me my blood pressure was high, both my legs were swollen and enlarged. After a few days my legs became better. I went to my Doctor 5 days later and the Doctor took me off medication which I have been taking for the past 12 years. Because my blood pressure had come down, he could see a remarkable change in my medical condition. He changed my medication to a different type, because I still need it at a lower level. The week before I had visited the doctor before I had a healing session with you guys, and he was talking about putting me on beta blockers."

Mrs C reported that depression which she had received prayer for about 2 weeks earlier had gone and was reporting that as a healing to us. She also said she had back ache. We prayed for this and she reported that her backache was significantly better.

Mr D from Ireland had a car accident in 1974 and suffered periodic pains. He said it was 4 out of 10. We prayed and his leg grew half an inch and he said he was now pain free.

Mr I had problems with his kidneys. After we prayed he felt heat in his kidneys and we prophesied over him. He was already a Christian and confirmed that this prophesy was in line with what God had been telling him.

Mr S had a disc out in his neck and pain in different parts of his body, about level 6. As we prayed mentioning by name each part of his body that needed healing he felt things happening in each part he mentioned. The pain decreased and he felt a great measure of peace.

Report dated 16th July

Mrs S' husband had died 7 years ago, and one night she had encountered God's love for her through receiving his peace. We were able to love her as the Holy Spirit gently ministered to her and she received Jesus into her heart as her Saviour and would now like to go on an Alpha course to find out more.

Mrs N had much pain and fibromyalgia, pain in her back and sciatica. She described the pain as 7 out of 10. As we prayed we watched as she suddenly physically straightened up, as God touched her spine. The pain went down to a 4, so we prayed again, and she straightened up totally, and then she declared herself pain free and left smiling.

Miss C had a condition to do with the brain, telling the body it was in pain. She was walking, leaning heavily on a stick, and suffering in her legs, back and shoulders. As we prayed, it started to shift and as we prayed again all the pain left. She said "it felt lovely". As she walked away she folded up her stick as it was no longer required.

Mr P was from Germany and wanted to know what we were doing. We explained that when we pray for people God heals them. He was surprised and said he had a pain in his neck and that he could not turn it very well, as well as skin cancer on his head. We prayed and he was totally pain free and had full movement in his neck. He was very surprised and wanted to pay us, we said that it is all free and because Jesus loves him.

Report dated 6th July

A young couple who are about to get married were brought to HOTS by a team member for prayer for healing; they had a number of health issues between them. God touched them both powerfully, and Mr A felt what he called electric pulses running though his body and was released from anxiety and fear. His breathing became easier and he was set free. Miss B also experienced great emotional release and then they both gave their lives to Jesus. All-round emotional, physical and spiritual healing was received.

Four young lads took some of the leaflets and were generally being "young lads". We joked with them and asked if they had ever seen a leg grow. They teased each other as they took turns sitting on the chair as we checked their legs. One of their legs was ½" shorter than the other. This instantly shot out to the same length and the joking stopped as a brief silent awe took over.

Mrs D had difficulty in walking due to lower back pain. After prayer she said her back felt better.

Mrs G, a team member, had problems with her knees. As we prayed she saw Jesus with an oil can oiling her joints and the pain eased away.

Mr D had a broken leg with pain 3 out of 10, after prayer this went down to a 1.

Report dated 30th June

Mrs A came for prayer. She's a Christian and asked for prayer for deliverance. We gently and loving prayed for her. After this she was visibly in a much better place and smiling.

Master T is a young man, who was in constant pain with alkalising spondelitis in his feet and pain in his heel bones. We prayed for him and he said that his heels were ok, so we asked him if he could walk, which he now could, without pain. We then suggested he might like to run, which he did and again had no pain. Both Master T and his mother were somewhat shocked, but delighted.

At an out-reach event in Chippenham we were asked to go to ..

Mrs B came for prayer for arthritis, she described it as 7-8 out of 10. As we prayed the pain diminished to a 3, then 1; she then said that it had totally disappeared.

Mrs R's leg grew about 30cm to be the same length as the other, and Mr G's leg grew and hand was healed.

Just to prove it, (and after more prayer for my back, eyes and general wellbeing), I went for a long walk around town today, out to Twerton and back (about 6 miles) and my leg was absolutely fine - a few months ago it would have hurt like crazy, kept me awake and I would have had pain and stiffness in my body, but I felt fine when I got home today. Recently I have also at times felt like a "walking breakdown", but today I had a real sense of calm, peace and wellbeing as I was walking and less depressed ..."

"My stepfather said he came and found you on the streets and you guys prayed for him and he's feeling much better. I am so pleased he came to see you, he said something just propelled him out of the coffee shop into the Abbey Courtyard.....wow.....great stuff...."

Report dated 22nd June

Mrs J came for prayer for relief from stenosis (a narrowing of the spine) and described the pain as 3 out of 10. After prayer she reported joyfully that she was pain free.

A team member had bruised their leg the day before and had bad swelling and was in pain. As we prayed we watched the bruising change colour and the swelling almost completely disappeared as the leg stopped being painful.

Mrs P was on holiday and was in extreme pain in her shoulder and had finished her tablets. As we prayed the pain lowered, so we prayed again and it lowered again, on the third time she had a big smile on her face and was able to move her shoulder to try it out and demonstrate her healing.

Miss A came back to tell us that she had received prayer from us the previous week for her mental condition and this week she was able to see clearly the sky and the trees in the park, which has been the first time for years that she had been able to do so.

Our local Buddhist Mr W came for his 5th time? We had a good conversation and he received more prayer.

Report dated 15th June

Mrs M, a Christian, felt led to come to Bath on this particular day from near London to receive healing. She came to the Abbey and when she saw our banner, she knew it was the place for her, and she was touched by God.

Mrs M visited us last week and was touched by God. This week she came back and gave her life to Jesus. We asked her if she had any friends who went to church and she said that she knew of one person. As the team member who asked her looked up, he saw that very person walking straight towards us from out of nowhere, and connected them up. We were all amazed at God's hand and timing in this, it was a real sign to Mrs M of God's love for her.

Mr G came for prayer with a pain in his foot, we prayed and he said that it felt good.

Our resident Buddhist came back for his 4th visit, he just loves soaking in the presence of God.

Mr F handed us a letter from which the following extracts have been taken. ..... For several weeks I have been in the depths of despair, your prayers are in the process of being answered, .......Thank you for your encouragement......prayerfully, I resubmit my life to the Lord Jesus and ask him to help me .....Yours sincerely......

Report dated 8th June

A slightly different report this week, as we have been able to get some feed-back from some of the healing stories after the event.

Mr R had came for prayer with back pain, his leg grew about 1 inch and all the back pain went.

Mr I had a painful knee and reported that it was greatly eased after receiving prayer.

Mrs J came for prayer with a walking stick and difficulties in walking. She described how she had fallen a few weeks ago and had torn things in her leg. It sounded nasty, and she said that the pain was 6 out of 10 (10 being high and 1 being low). We prayed and she received partial release down to a 3, so we prayed again and she was completely healed. The photo (below) says it all.

Mr G looked downcast as he hobbled through the square. We asked if we could pray for him and he explained that he could be HIV positive. He also had pain in his back and wounds to his leg. After we had finished praying we asked him to try it out, he explained that he was now standing straight and that all the pain had gone, he also looked about 10 years younger and was wearing a smile from ear to ear. The next day a team member was walking through Bath and saw Mr G again. When asked how he was doing today, he explained that he was still fine, and took delight in saying that he had gone to his local church that morning.

Mrs R came and sat on a chair. It would be true to say that Mrs R has not been one of our easiest guests to love and serve. This was at least her third or fourth visit to us. This time, however, rather than Mrs R talking at us and sharing her personal views with us, a point came when we had the opportunity to pray for Mrs R for the pain in her back. At this point she was instantly healed and spent some time getting on and off the chair in a state of disbelief at what had just happened. We later heard the following day, from another wonderful outdoor ministry working in the city, how she was personally spreading the Good News of this healing herself to others.

Mrs R's friend, who had witnessed Mrs R's healing, also came for prayer after this and experienced a touch from God and a level of freedom in her own life which was again confirmed the following day by the other ministry.

These on-going feedback stories are so encouraging to us as we start to see the after-effects of Jesus' touch in peoples lives. It was so encouraging to me when I was at the Midsomer Norton event last week to have a man come up to me and thank us for praying for his wife about a month earlier, who was instantly healed of back pain, as it has made an impact on their lives. He was also beaming from ear to ear at the time.

As I see these on-going healings taking place every week my growing conviction, working in a city that has been pre-destined for healing, I personally continue to believe that the time for us as Christians to venture out of our buildings and impact our City with "an authentic Gospel message" quoted from Bill Jhonston, Bethel Church, Redding, California.

Report for Tuesday 2nd June

Today we decided to really kick back into the presence of God, relax and let the Holy Spirit do the work of drawing people in for healing, and for us to watch what Daddy was doing out there in the square. It was fun and amazing to see him at work in people's lives.

Even as we knelt down to pray on the streets today Mrs S was waiting for prayer with her partner. She was suffering depression and addiction. Through prophetic insight we were able to deal with the root of the issue and set her free to experience inner healing. She experienced peace after prayer.

Mrs J had damaged her knee and needed a walking stick to move around. She described the pain as 6 out of 10. We prayed and it went down to 3, we prayed again and she was totally healed, in her Words "I can't believe it, all the pain has gone!" Please see the attached photo of Mrs J with her walking stick held high in the air !

Mrs J suffered from migraines. After prayer she felt release and at peace.

Mrs M was suffering from osteo arthritis. She experienced feeling the presence of God and peace during prayer, after which she got up easier and walked around, as she felt her healing had started

During all this Mr. S sat on the wall and watched us. After a while we went and talked with him. God had been setting him up for the last 3 weeks and he talked about the pointers that he had been getting from God along the way, but he was anxious. We prayed for his anxiety and he said that he felt waves of love and joy washing over him, and then experienced joyous laughter. He had not experienced anything like this before, he liked it and wanted more of it. He then decided that it was time for him to give his life to Jesus, which he did as he has not found any other truth in the world. He also decided to join a local church in Bristol where he is based.

Special Whit Sunday HOTS team visit to Midsomer Norton

All in all about 30 people were prayed for on this special day and below are some of the testimonies that we recorded from these prayers. It was an encouraging time and was greatly enjoyed by the team.

Mrs I came for prayer saying she had incurable heart disease and pain from angina. We prayed and she left, she then came back to tell us that the pain had gone.

Mrs B reported having dizziness that lasted for hours and arthritis in her hands. After prayer she reported that she could stretch her hands further than before.

Mrs M had come for prayer for her hip and knee joints. She was able to walk much faster and freer after prayer.

Miss S had muscular degeneration of her eyes. We prayed and she received partial improvement, so we prayed again and she reported that her sight had improved more and that it was about 50% better now.

Mr D came for prayer as he suffered from MS. As we prayed the shaking lessened until it was only about 10% - 20% of what it had been to start with, he also felt a great sense of peace.

Mrs A came for prayer and it was observed that one of her legs was about 1/2" shorter than the other, so we prayed and the leg grew to match the other one. She was able to stand straighter after this

Briefly from Bath!

This week in Bath Mrs J came back to find us as she wanted to tell us of her Healing. We had prayed for her a few weeks ago as she had been diagnosed with the early stages of Parkinson's disease and was unable to sleep, so she came to tell us that she is now sleeping and is feeling "Heaps better".

23 May & 26 May

A couple from Basingstoke came to us. He suffered from depression - S.A.D. but this year it had not lifted. He was very open, looks at Proverbs and finds them helpful, and is willing to look at more of the Bible. We gave him Mark's booklet.

After prayer his depression lifted and he said he felt this warmth over the top of his body running back and forth between each of our hands, one on each shoulder. Prayed for his wife too for anxiety, having given her time she opened up too.

Mr P
A return visit for more prayer, much improvement of his obsessive thoughts after previous prayer.

Lady G
Prayed for a virus to go and for treatment she is about to have. A very positive response.

Lady E
Came for prayer for her brother and experienced peace and encouragement herself.

Lady E
Had suffered with MS for 20 years, as we prayed, she cried as she became aware of the presence of the Holy Spirit and felt a lightness too.

Ladies L & A
Recently diagnosed with breast cancer; L experienced the presence of the Holy Spirit and felt a lot lighter.

Ladies H & J
While praying for one lady her carer was mightily touched, so sat down and received prayer herself.

Mrs G
Prayer for her daughter; she left feeling better.

Mr J
Was happy to receive God's forgiveness and to make a decision to forgive others.

Lady J
J, 25 weeks pregnant, had pain in her right side, which had been investigated by the Doctor, but no reason found. After prayer the pain went. Also prayed for the baby in-utero.

19th May

Mrs N received prayer for food intolerance. As we prayed she felt movement in her stomach, she was very encouraged by this.

Mr J received prayer for his panic attacks and lower back. During prayer his leg grew and the tension went and he felt peace.
The above healing lead to us to talk amongst the team about legs growing and some of the team member's checked out their legs to see if they needed prayer. One team member's leg was about ¾ of an inch different and she said, "That will account for the way I have always felt I was standing lopsided". During the morning we then saw 3 more legs grow and another back relieved of pain.

One of the ladies at the last training meeting was healed following the impartation prayer for each person. She became aware after the prayer that her chronic knee pain had gone. When I spoke with her a week or so later she was so thankful and amazed. God is good!

15th May

Mr S stopped and waited as he was passing by. He was clearly drawn by the presence of God. Life has been hard and he has been searching for something. He was able to give his life to Jesus, and now wants to attend an Alpha course and start going to Church

Lady A and Lady B encouraged each other to receive prayer. Lady A had a bad neck. She sat on the chair and received prayer. Afterwards she said that it was much better. Lady B had arthritis and a bad knee, her leg grew ½ an inch and all the pain left her knee.

Lady A and Lady B were being watched by Mr G. He was straight on the chair as soon as they has stood up and asked 'Can you sort my back out?' We prayed and his leg grew ½ an inch as well, and all the pain left which was 3 out of 10 before we prayed.

Mr N wanted to "get his life together" and commented that in the past it had been Christians who had helped him. He gave his life to the Lord and his flue-like headache (which he hadn't told us about) went without us praying for it.

Miss R came back after being prayed for 4 months ago, to tell us that the prophetic word in the form of an encounter with a specific named person, which she had been given last time, had been fulfilled and it was clear to all that her life had been turned around. We prayed for her again and she experienced greater internal freedom.

Mrs L came to report that she received prayer 3 weeks ago for her sleeplessness, and that she has since been sleeping, however, she has not slept the last couple of nights, so came back for more prayer and felt very peaceful

Tuesday, 5th May

Mrs J, who was already a Christian, was visiting from America. She had pain in her shoulders which she described as 7 out of 10. We prayed and all the pain went. Her husband also had a stiffness in his jaw which relaxed and we then prophesied over him for about 2 minutes.

Mrs M was suffering from angina, back pain and sciatica. As we prayed the pain went from 8 down to 2.5 and then as we prayed again it almost completely disappeared.

Mrs C was in a wheelchair and had just been let out for the day from the RUH. She was unable to tell us the problem as she was so tired, bur really received God's Love. After prayer she could talk and there was a great change.

Mrs S, an autistic, received affirmation of who she is through prayer, and for brain function and understanding to change. She visibly changed facially as we prayed positive things God feels about her.

Mrs J, an elderly lady with arthritic knees, received prayer she was very encouraged. She felt considerably better and was very grateful.

Mrs P, a Christian, came for prayer. She had pain in her hip, knee, and Achilles tendon. As we prayed she felt electric shocks repeatedly and was thrilled.

Mrs S (team member): "A team member insisted on the team praying for me after they discovered that I have diabetes following the coffee order. I felt the Holy Spirit working on me as the team ministered. Later in the afternoon I attended a 'free screening for diabetes and blood pressure' by volunteer nurses from the Emergency Department of the RUH, in a tent operated by Bath Lions Club at the Bath Flower Festival. I Did not confess to having been diagnosed a diabetic before and RUH A&E Matron tested me. My blood sugar measured 5.9 mmol/l in an acceptable range of 4-7 mmol/l. The Matron's own diagnosis was that "There is absolutely nothing wrong with your blood-sugar level." Please note, however, that one good reading does not prove healing here. Documentary evidence available.

From a Team Member : "It had been rather quiet for me until five to one, when I was just about to start packing up. Unusually, I was in no hurry at all, as my car was in a free parking place up on one of the hills leading out of Bath. Just at that moment I caught sight of a young lady who was hovering at the other end of the chair line. She smiled as if inviting me to speak to her, so I walked over and said 'Hello' and started to explain who we were and what we were doing. She replied that she understood and looked relieved when I offered to pray for her. I teamed up with Joy and asked her what she wanted prayer for. She explained that she didn't always have the right faith. Although her English was very good it was clear that it was not her native language. She told us that she was from Switzerland and was in England on holiday. She had planned to be in Bristol that day, but at the last moment decided to come to Bath, where of course she found us. At that moment I felt a prompting to ask her if she would like to invite Jesus into her life. She beamed a beautiful smile and said simply 'Yes. That is why I am here. It was one of those incredible moments when you realise that this person's life is about to change for ever. I was kind of frozen in the sheer loveliness of it and Joy, bless her, presumably sensing that I was momentarily lost for words, (rare for me!) gently led her to pray a prayer of commitment to Jesus. As I watched the lady, large tears began to roll down her eyelashes, hung momentarily and then fell onto her hands. It was as if she was being cleansed by her own tears. All I can say is it was one of the most special moments I have known. God was working in me too, as I watched. I just wanted to dance with happiness for her. We closed by talking to her about sharing with a friend what she had done and about finding a Christian fellowship in her home town in Switzerland. She left as one very happy and transformed lady.

Praise God. He is so good"

 

Thursday 23rd April

Mrs M, from Weston-Super-Mare, had neck pain, which she described as 6 out of 10. After prayer she said "I can hardly feel it"; and it was 1 out of 10.

Mrs I had sciatica and a bad back, with pain. During prayer her leg grew, the pain in her back disappeared and her sciatica was healed.

Miss J came for physical healing. Afterwards she spoke of her real need, which was to accept Jesus as her saviour. The team were able to help her with this and she committed her life to Jesus.

Mr M also decided to commit his life to Jesus.

Mrs B had a bad back and as we prayed all her pain went.

 

Thursday 16th April

Mrs L had a frozen left shoulder. This meant that she was unable to lift her arm above the height of her own shoulder and she also had pain in the arm. Her husband was sceptical, but was happy for us to pray. We prayed and she experienced partial release, so we prayed again and she felt heat in her shoulder and she was then able to lift her arm above her head and wave at her husband. She then asked if anyone wanted to play tennis !!!

Mrs B has had back pain since last year and she described the pain as 7 out of 10 at the start, as we prayed it went down to 4 - then 2, then it all went and she was free of it. Her husband and herself were very happy about this.

Two ladies received Jesus into their lives as their saviour.

Mrs K also had back pain and during prayer her leg grew ½". She felt something click in her back and then her back felt loose and relaxed.

Testimonies week ending Saturday 28 March

Mrs A received prayer for muscle tension in shoulders and hands and felt a release of the tension in her shoulders.

Mrs B received prayer for her middle finger and afterwards it felt easier with no clicking and no pain.

Mrs C was suffering from fibermyalagia in her back, shoulders and elbows, and describes the discomfort as 7 out of 10. After prayer, she felt slightly better and at peace, so the team prayed again and this time she was totally pain free and very pleased.

During a weekly training session Mrs D received prayer for tunnel vision and now reports having a wider field of vision.

Special Report of Testimonies - Thursday 5 March

Mrs D took a leaflet and went away. She then came back again and sat in the chair. She had back problems, and as we prayed she physically straightened up in the chair, she then stood up and said," I think I'm healed!"

A team member sat in the chair with back pain. As we prayed God lead us to prayer for his back to straighten, (he had not told us he had a curvature of the spine). We then went on to pray for his hearing. After prayer his back was pain free and he had to turn his hearing aids down.

A lady came for prayer, who was not a Christian, and who had been referred to us by her chiropractor. Her leg grew ½ " and we prayed for her sciatica. She said she would know if there was a difference if she started to walk, we walked with her through the square and she was amazed to find that all the pain had gone.

Team member H (in their own words) "I was prayed for, for an active pain in my right thigh, I was asked to forgive myself for the burst of anger that triggered the movement that caused the injury.....I was in a lot of pain walking to the meeting, I walked around the block after prayer and I can divulge that I was pain free."

2 ladies visiting Bath from Blackpool came for prayer. Mrs J had arthritis in her right wrist and high blood pressure, Mrs J said the wrist became pain free, and she could shake her wrist which was previously impossible. In a nutshell, through prayer God performed the following miracles:

Her shorter leg grew about an inch. She felt something happen within her hip (due for replacement operation) and the pain in her hip disappeared completely. Her back straightened. She was able to stand unaided by person or stick. Her swollen ankle improved and straightened (partially). Her cataracts cleared and her vision improved . She was delivered of spirits of paranoia and fear following a period of repentance. She invited Jesus into her life. She was filled with the Holy Spirit. She then joined us in the closing prayer. She then started speaking in the gift of tongues. She is one seriously healed lady. Praise be to God.

Early March

Just as we were starting to set up a light drizzle began to fall. We prayed for it to stop, which it did. In four months of going out, right through the winter, there has only been one other occasion when there has been any sign of rain, and then only light. Praise be to God.

Mrs A was persuaded to sit on one of our HOTS chairs by her friend. She had broken her ankle nearly 30 years ago and it still caused her discomfort and pain as well as not being able to bend it very far. After prayer it started to ease, so we prayed again and when she walked on it, there was a marked improvement with greater flexibility.

Mrs B had been suffering from cancer and felt comforting warmth and the presence of God during prayer.

At the start of the session a team member had a 'word' about a young man with a feather in his hat. Then a young man turned up with a peacock feather in his hat. A team member talked to him about Jesus for some time and prayed for him after he had left. The man, a spiritualist, came back for prayer with a painful back. He left smiling and said he felt better.

A lady with 2 babies received prayer because they would just not settle down for her; she came running back a couple of minutes later to say that they were now both fast asleep.

A member of the public came for prayer with a bad ankle, bad back, breathing difficulties and obvious signs of emotional healing needs. As we prayed, through prophetic prayer God highlighted the exact root of the emotional healing that was needed and the Holy Spirit ministered to this area of need. We then prayed that God would make them 'Whole' physically , emotionally, spiritually and mentally. We then asked how they were doing, to find that the breathing was a lot better, the back was 90% better, the ankle was totally healed and the shoulder, that had not even been mentioned to us, had also been healed. God is so good!
