I'm delighted to let you know that CARE's election website www.makethecrosscount2010.net is now live.

We hope the resources and information on this site will help you prepare for the forthcoming general election. At a time when many people have become disillusioned with politics we believe passionately that Christians have a role to play in our democracy and we pray that many Christians and individual churches will be actively involved in our nation's political life.

On the website you will find:

My Manifesto: a unique opportunity to hear church leaders and Christian thinkers explore the issues they would like to see in a party manifesto.

CARE's Hustings Guide: It is our prayer that churches across the UK will take up the challenge of hosting hustings events and provide an opportunity for local people to put questions to those standing as candidates. This guide tells you everything you need to know about organising a hustings event.

Resources: Including a series of Bible studies for small groups or individuals to help you think through the issues of living out our faith in a modern democracy.

Policy Papers: Researched and written by CARE's Public Affairs team, the documents provide an overview of key policy areas and help Christians think through the issues.
