>> Give and Take - Personal and Domestic

Give and Take is a section of the site's discussion forum set up as a spare gear sharing noticeboard. The aim it to help the free flow of surplus items to where they are currently needed. It is open to use by all registered users and it's primarily purpose is to help reduce running costs of organisations working for positive change in the region. Clearly it's also good stewardship to share resources when then they are no longer needed. There is also a personal spare gear forum where people can bless others with their spare personal and domestic gear.

So, if you have items to offer either free of charge or at a nominal cost, list them here. Equally, if you're looking for something, list it here so that others can help you find it.

Usage Guidelines

Posting a Spare Item/Need
To post an item/need use the following link and start a new topic. >> Give and Take
But please familiarise yourself with the guidelines shown below first.

Responding
To respond to a post you'll probably want to contact the 'giver' direct by email (click the link to the right) or by phone if they have included their number. You can also use the forum's reply facility in the normal way to request further information etc. ... or why not use it to say 'Thank you' after you have taken receipt of the item!

Accuracy
When using 'Give and Take' the user posting the item is solely responsible for making sure its description and condition is accurately stated. we:network can not accept any responsibility or liability in any way for any item posted.

Removing old Item/Needs Posts
Once an item is exchanged or a need met, it is the responsability of the site user who made the original post to remove it please. That way we keep 'Give and Take' uncluttered and easy to use for all.

Payments
The focus of of Give and Take is on the efficient transfer of potentially useful spare gear to where it's needed. At times it may be appropriate that an item be sold rather than donated. Spare gear contributors are therefore free to make a modest charge for items. Any money changing hands in this way is entirely between the posting and receiving parties and does not involve we:network in any way in the transaction.
